To begin, make sure you have installed and activated the GoSMTP plugin.

After Installing GoSMTP, you can easily configure the plugin's settings. Just Go to GoSMTP » Settings in your WordPress dashboard and navigate to the SMTP Settings tab.

Basic configuration

  • From Email:  Set the email address which is used for sending all emails from your website.
  • Force From Email: Enable force from email, It ignores emails set by other plugins and use the Form Email setting.
  • From Name: Set the from name from which emails are sent. By default, your site name is set as form name.
  • Force From Name: Enable force from, It ignores from name set by other plugins and use the Form Name setting.
  • Return Path: Enable return path, it will set the return path to match the from email address. If you enable this setting, you'll get an email when your messages bounce due to recipient's email address.
  • Mailer: Select Sendlayer option from the Mailer field.

If you already have account, you can skip this steps and directly login by open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Sendlayer website (sendlayer.com). Log in to your existing Sendlayer account using your registered email address and password.

After signing up, check your email inbox for a verification link from Sendlayer. Click on the link to verify your email address and gain access to your Sendlayer account.

  • Add and verify you domain

  • Within your domain's DNS settings, locate the option to add a new DNS record.
  • Depending on your domain hosting provider, this option might be labeled as "Add Record," "Create DNS Record," or something similar.
  • From your Sendlayer account, copy the DNS records that were provided for domain verification.
  • These records often include TXT records that contain unique strings of characters.
  • Return to your domain's DNS settings and paste the copied records into the appropriate fields.
  • Once you've added the DNS records, save your changes within the DNS settings of your domain hosting account.
  • The changes might take some time to propagate across the internet, which is a normal part of the domain verification process.

Click on API keys tab. If you haven't generated an API key yet, click on the "Generate New API Key" button to create one.

  • Enter Sendlayer credentials in GoSMTP
